Girl in my Christian Sexuality class: The road to acceptance is easy. All gay people have to do is come out, they act like its hard. Just tell people and they'll learn to accept you.
Me: yeah, she's right. No one has ever been kicked out of their home and disowned by their parents for being gay. Little kids aren't constantly hearing people call things "gay" or people "fags." You never see a politician argue that their rights shouldn't be accounted for. They don't have to worry that their friends will stop being their friends or that everyones view of them will change. Coming out of the closet is super easy for gay people.
